Shane had a summer relationship with Teddy Montgomery in Barcelona. Shane and Teddy argue after Shane learns that Teddy's uncle is Charles Sanderson, who is running against Marissa for the seat. Shane and Teddy begin dating and eventually have a Las Vegas wedding, albeit unofficial. However, Silver accidentally sends the wedding video to Marissa Harris-Young's campaign and it ends up on the news, ruining Charles's chances at winning the election. Teddy believes it to be Shane who leaked the video, but finds out the truth from Silver.
