Season 4
Shane comes to California University to talk with Silver about filming a campaign video for a congressional candidate, Marissa Harris-Young.
However, it is revealed that he had a summer relationship with Teddy Montgomery in Barcelona. Shane and Teddy argue after Shane learns that Teddy's uncle is Charles Sanderson, who is running against Marissa for the seat.
Shane and Teddy begin dating and eventually have a Las Vegas wedding, albeit unofficial. However, Silver accidentally sends the wedding video to Marissa's campaign and it ends up on the news, ruining Charles' chances at winning the election. Teddy believes it to be Shane who leaked the video, but finds out the truth from Silver.
Season 5
Teddy shows up at the West Beverly Hills High alumni event stating that Shane had broken up with him, though Shane arrives shortly after him and states that Teddy ran away and won't return his calls. Silver works out their issues for Teddy's sake and the two reunite.
However, after Teddy and Silver reveal they will be having a baby together, Shane is not supportive and threatens to sue Silver if she goes through with the insemination.
