Naomi Clark, portrayed by AnnaLynne McCord, is a main character in the fourth series of the 90210 franchise. She is based in part on Kelly Taylor from the original show Beverly Hills, 90210. She initially appears to be shallow due to her rich and popular status, but gradually reveals more depth.

Early Life

Naomi was born on September 14, 1992 in Beverly Hills. She is a daughter of Tracy and Charles Clark and younger sister of Jen Clark. Naomi is attractive, privileged and popular just like Kelly Taylor with whom the media has compared her. She's a good person at heart and very protective of her friends, but can also be very cruel and manipulative to others if they have hurt her, like when she mistook Annie Wilson for sleeping with Liam Court. She is a different person to her friends, a different person to her family and a different person to her teachers.

90210

Season 1

Naomi Clark, a student at West Beverly Hills High, is a privileged, socially ambitious rich girl who although comes across as a snobby air head at first impression, she is really sensitive at heart. Her first on-screen birthday coincides with the birth of the series, and several of her relationships throughout this episode and the second provide an introduction to the many aspects of her personality. As she slowly befriends Annie, the new girl at school, Naomi displays a tendency for being withdrawn and opportunistic at time. Conversely, she also reveals a deep capacity for love and commitment, which is demonstrated through her longtime romantic involvement with high school boyfriend Ethan Ward (who had known Annie before she moved there).

Having grown up privileged, Naomi basks in the high life and enjoys social prominence sometimes to a fault. This is initially displayed through her estrangement with former friend Silver, a bond that was changed by a power-driven mistake on Naomi's part. Portrayed as an underachiever in school, Naomi attempted to plagiarise one of Annie's old papers early on in the series. Upon being caught, she found herself growing weary of and even offended by the excuses that her parents often made on her behalf. Wanting to prove her potential, she opted to do the assignment herself. Naomi is also shown to be a good help with Ethan's autistic brother, as he responds well to her friendliness. Additionally, she is an exceptional speaker of Spanish. Early on in the series, Silver claimed that she and Naomi had once been best friends. However, Silver also stated that things had changed when Naomi betrayed her trust by revealing a secret of her. According to Silver, Naomi places great value on being admired for her knowledge and holding social power around school. At her 16th birthday party, Naomi discovered that her boyfriend Ethan had cheated on her. After a series of talks in the following days an in an incident in which she had a fling of her own the relationship ended following a calm discussion in which Ethan decided that they were better off apart. Naomi is the daughter of Tracy and Charles and has a sister named Jen, who is said to be off at college when the series begins. In the third episode, Naomi became highly distraught after discovering that her father was having an affair. After being comforted by Ethan, she later went home to quietly lie next to her mum as she slept. The next morning, Naomi regretfully reported the affair to her mother and was stunned to learn that she already knew of it. Tracy identified the woman as Gail McKinney, and explained that Gail and Charles had been seeing each other on an occasional basis for two years. Not wanting to separate the family, or lose her life of luxury, Tracy had chosen to tolerate Charles's unfaithful habits.

When word of her family's troubles reaches Silver, Naomi feared that Silver would retaliate against her by posting the information on her blog. Amidst her ongoing trauma, she began turning to Ethan for comfort, stating that it simply felt nice to talk to him. After tracking down and confronting Gail, Naomi soon learned that Charles intended to move her into the family's beach house and revealed this to her mother. Upon realising that Charles's interest in Gail was greater than she'd thought, Tracy began to grow less content with the matter. Finally wanting a change, she eventually decided that the time had come to divorce Charles. After informing her daughter of this, Tracy took Naomi in her arms and stated that she loved her. Silver later told Naomi that she wouldn't blog about her family's problems, which appeared to lessen the tension between the two.

After receiving continued support from Ethan, and watching an old video of them together, Naomi informed him that she wanted to at least rebuild their friendship. Ethan responded positively and the two soon shared a kiss. In time, Naomi's anxiety regarding her parents eventually led her to ask Ethan if he still loved her. Ethan hesitated while responding, and the two were soon interrupted by her mother. Later, an attempt on Naomi's part to save her parents' relationship failed. This led her to recall the earlier moment between she and Ethan, which prompted the couple to once again go their separate ways following a brief discussion about their feelings. In the days to follow, however, Naomi retained a playful interest in Ethan, particularly after seeing him spending time with Annie.

Naomi made a significant effort to sway her friend Adrianna Tate-Duncan from drug use, repeatedly expressing how much she cared for her. When police officers searched West Beverly for drugs, Adrianna quickly panicked while fearing the many consequences. Naomi chose to intervene by taking drugs from Adrianna's possession. This led to Naomi being briefly arrested and facing a number of charges. Adrianna eventually agreed to come forth, but later turned her back to her addiction and overdosed before she could do so. Following Naomi's release, her parents took it upon themselves to try lessening the charges their daughter faced. Eventually, the charges were essentially dropped and Naomi was given after-school detention for the semester.

Though Naomi was relieved to learn of Adrianna's recovery, she became increasingly distant from her afterwards. When Adrianna forced a confrontation, Naomi admitted that she still cared about her, but stated that the relationship had become too stressful to continue. As Naomi and Annie grew closer, Naomi revealed that she was beginning to value their friendship. However, she also admitted that Annie's growing closeness to Ethan was likely to make things awkward. As the two discussed the finer points of friendship, Annie suggested that Naomi give Adrianna another chance. Though Naomi was reluctant, she eventually followed the advice and reconciled with her old friend. Naomi soon learned that her mother had given birth to a son during her teenage years and that the father was West Beverly Principal Harry Wilson, Annie's dad. She and Annie would later come to discuss this. Though both found the situation odd, it initially had little impact on their friendship. However, after seeing Annie kissing Ethan, Naomi became highly resentful. To retaliate, she lured Annie's old boyfriend Jason to town, and made out with him at Annie's birthday party. The girls then had a private confrontation. Naomi, citing her growing frustration with the many betrayals and surprises in her life, was unrepentant for her actions. Angered, Annie revealed that she'd intended to tell Naomi about Ethan but had been waiting for the right time. Both then declared that their friendship was over. In the midst of the argument, however, they were interrupted by the arrival of Sean Cavanaugh, a young man claiming to be the son of Harry and Tracy.

Naomi, alongside Annie, was briefly counselled by Kelly, West Beverly's guidance counsellor. Following Sean's brief stay and sudden departure, the Wilsons, Naomi and a reluctant Tracy eventually concluded that he was not who he'd claimed to be, but someone who'd intended to scam them. It was also revealed that the Clarks had indeed given him some of their money. Afterward, Naomi maintained a degree of antipathy toward Annie, who proposed an accord. In the coming days, Naomi discovered that her mother had taken an indefinite leave of town, while her father had decided to sell the house. She then moved into the family's beach home, and soon learned that Charles had become involved with yet another woman. After discovering that Adrianna was pregnant, she offered full support to her friend. Later, Naomi informed her father that she was moving out of the beach house and staying at a hotel for the time being. While at the hotel, Naomi entered a mutually flirtatious relationship with a bartender named Liam. She was also surprised by a visit from Silver, who sought her help with hotel and dinner reservations. While using her connections to assist her old friend, Naomi acknowledged that she enjoyed bonding with Silver again and Silver expressed the same. Upon seeing Liam in one of her classes, Naomi learned that he was actually a student at West Beverly who'd been attempting to dodge school. She also learned that she'd accidentally tipped his parents off to this by sending him a gift.

Naomi had a dream in which she made out with Liam after apologising. At school, she offered to tutor him when a teacher requested a volunteer. While sensing his resentment later, Naomi apologised for what had happened with his parents, asking if they could start over. When the two actually sat down to study, however, it became clear that he was smarter than he'd let on. During a drive in his car, Liam explained that he'd largely been dodging school because he'd become bored with it. Later that night, Naomi learned that Liam was involved in street racing. He then offered to call her a cab, but she declined and rode along with him during a race. Afterward, Liam fought off a fellow racer who'd made unwelcomed advances toward Naomi. The two then drove off, and ended the night by kissing before going their separate ways. When Silver went missing later that evening, Naomi helped Ethan and Annie search for clues inside West Beverly. While she and Annie searched through Silver's locker, friendly feelings emerged once again between the two girls. After learning that Ethan and Annie had broken up, and that Silver had been safely found, Naomi chose to bury her ill feelings towards Annie and start their friendship over again. Naomi participated in a Habitat for Humanity project upon learning that Liam would be involved. She then asked Ethan to question Liam about his interest in her. This drew the guys into an initial state of hostility, but eventually led them to bond unexpectedly. Throughout the project, Naomi and Liam flirted and made out. In the days that followed, Naomi became confused when Liam seemed rather distant, despite their physical relationship. When Charles was faced with a lawsuit, he forced Naomi to leave the hotel for the sake of appearances. Not wanting to live with Charles and Gail, Naomi accepted Annie's offer to move in with her and her family. Later, Naomi and Liam had a double date with Annie and Liam's cousin. During this meeting, Liam asked Annie out in private, prompting her to quietly decline the invitation. When Naomi confronted him regarding this, Liam stated that he wasn't interested in steady relationships. However, she chose to maintain an interest in him as she walked away. She later moved out of the Wilson home when her sister Jen made an unexpected return to Beverly Hills. Naomi gained access to her inheritance after Jen pressured Charles. The sisters then decided to buy a home together. Due to Jen's secret misfortunes, however, Naomi, unexpectedly wound up paying for several of the expenses on her own. She eventually confronted Jen regarding this, and became sympathetic upon learning of her sister's difficulties. Naomi attended the West Beverly prom with Liam. At the event, Naomi was voted one of West Beverly's five most beautiful girls. When Silver declined the title of Prom Queen, which she'd won under suspicious circumstances, Naomi crowned herself. Later, she became upset upon learning that Liam had mainly invited her because his stepfather wanted him to become more outgoing. However, she soon discovered that his feelings for her were deeper than she's suspected. The two then had a private dance on the street before briefly separating. Jen became resentful when Naomi claimed control of the house and threw an after-prom party. Liam, who'd asked Naomi to keep their personal discussions private, was unaware that she'd already revealed things about him to Jen. Upon discovering this, he followed Jen to bed, where the two acted on their mutual spite for Naomi. Upon finding Liam half-naked, Naomi left the room after declaring their relationship over. Liam then became remorseful when Jen identified herself as Naomi's sister. Believing Annie to be the other girl, Naomi chastised her out in the open. This prompted Annie to leave the party while reporting the underage drinking to the police. Later, Naomi was comforted by Jen. The party came to an end, however, when police officers arrived on the scene.

Season 2

At the beginning of the second season Naomi daydreams about kissing a mystery man on the beach. Silver snaps Naomi out of it when Silver reminds Naomi that summer is coming to an end. Now best friends, Naomi, Silver and Adrianna go to the Beverly Hills Beach Club to relax by the pool. They catch up on what has occurred in their lives. Naomi is dating a new, older man, Jason Epstein. Later, she is trying to distract herself from all the drama by focusing on a newcomer, Teddy Montgomery. He is the son of an Oscar-winning movie star and is also a professional tennis player. It is revealed that Teddy and Adrianna used to date. The next day is the first day of school and Naomi is determined to get a new man this year to get over Liam. As she mentions his name, he is standing right there listening in. He tries to talk to her but she runs away. Naomi gets a picture of a naked Annie from Mark Driscoll. Naomi is still furious with Annie from prom night and contemplates sending out the sexually explicit text message of Annie as payback. Annie looks for Naomi is the women's bathroom to find Naomi and asks her to delete the photo. Naomi says she wants Annie to stop lying and to just admit it. Annie asks if she admits it will Naomi erase the picture and she begrudgingly admits it, but sends the picture that night.

The next day, Teddy invites everyone to a party on his dad's yacht where Mark tells Silver that Naomi was the one who sent the picture. Later, Annie approaches Naomi and tells her that she and Liam were hooking up the entire time they were together. She even tells her that they were laughing at her behind her back. Annie, to get back at Naomi, tells her that everyone that loves Naomi ends up loving her more, Ethan and Liam. The comment gets to Naomi and she walks away defeated.

In "The Porn King" Jen asks Naomi to sit and talk with her. She says that she is married to a man named Olivier Le Sage. She says she didn't tell her about him because she caught him with another woman. She says that she spent all of her money and is now broke. Naomi is upset that she has been paying for all of Jen's bills and asks when she is going to be paid back. Jen says that she is going to return to Olivier where she will live with an open marriage. She says once she is back with Olivier, she will pay her back. Naomi tells her that she is worried about her and says she doesn't want her to go back to a loveless marriage.

Naomi aspires to attend California University after graduating high school. Naomi is told by a teacher that she will not be able to get into CU. She then schedules tutoring sessions with the Dean's son to get close to him. He is a treehugger, and she uses him because she wants to get accepted to CU and Richard Carte begins to fall for her. Meanwhile, Jen continues to manipulate Naomi and manages to convince her to lend her a large amount of cash. Naomi meets Jen at the beach club and Jen says she felt bad after their fight the other day. Jen tells Naomi that she is best friend. She announces that she wants to move out until she figures out her divorce. Jen tells her that she will be better off without her dragging her down. As Jen is about to sign a new lease, Naomi arrives and gives Jen a check to cover her divorce lawyer fees. Jen thanks her and gives her a hug.

Naomi continues to date the Dean's son and flirts with his roommate, Jamie. They chatted about her love of the university. Naomi see's Liam talking to Ivy Sullivan and realises that she needs to move on as well. She breaks off her fake relationship with Richard and asks Jamie to the Halloween party. Worried that Adrianna will relapse, Naomi and Silver enlist Navid Shirazi's asisstance, Naomi tells Adrianna what Navid told her. Adrianna says Navid might still be angry after they broke up, but assures Naomi she is clean but Naomi says she lied to her before.

At CU Naomi and Jamie's make out session is interrupted by Richard and his mum, forcing Naomi to come clean about her plans to get accepted into CU. While visiting Navid at the hospital Naomi asks Liam to hold the elevator and uncomfortably rides down with him and Ivy. Naomi hangs out with Silver at her house after Silver's mother's funeral. Jen takes Naomi to the racetrack where they look at her new horse. Naomi later discovers that it was Jen who Liam slept with and not Annie. She makes Jen leave her house and gets a therapist to "de-Jen" her life. In "Winter Wonderland" Naomi asks Annie to talk to her in the bathroom. She admits she made a huge mistake when she accused her of sleeping with Liam and says she knows Jen was the once who was with Liam. Annie tells her she put her through hell and then Liam tells her he just wanted to check in and make sure she is okay. Naomi tells him that he could have put a stop to the lies a long time ago but Liam explains he didn't think she would believe him. Naomi gets upset and leaves. At the dance, Naomi and the gang prepare an intervention to help Annie and she also gets a text from Liam asking her to meet him at his house. Naomi visits Liam in the garage and sees that he is working on something that is covered by a tarp, but he says it's nothing. Naomi says she got a text from him, and they ask each each other if they have something to say. Naomi says she hoped he was different now from his secretive self. She says she realises that he is not even willing to show her what is under the tarp but before she leaves, Liam uncovers a boat he has been working on. Liam says things are bad at home and explains that when he is upset he works on his boat. He says he used to sail with his dad before he went away. Liam says Jen told him that she was Naomi's neighbour and explains he didn't learn the truth until it was too late. Liam asks for another chance just before they kiss. After the winter break, Naomi returns from her vacation in St. Bart's excited to spend time with Liam and finds that when they spend time together it feels awkward. Confused, she asks Adrianna for advice. Adrianna tells her there is only one way to establish whether or not the two have chemistry, sex. She follows Adrianna's advice which leads to the two getting up close and personal in his newly built boat. In "Girl Fight" Naomi asks Ivy for help because Liam is more relaxed around her. Ivy agrees but secretly uses the time she spends with the pair to get closer to Liam and push Naomi away. It doesn't take long for Naomi to realise that Ivy likes Liam. She and Ivy have a fight on the beach over him and Ivy insists that she is a better match for Liam, causing Naomi to break down and confront him, telling him that they have nothing in common and that she has been pretending to be who she thinks he wants her to be. However, the outburst only makes Liam happier because he feels that she is finally being herself, the girl he fell for.

In "Clark Raving Mad" at the Blaze journalism club, Navid introduced Mr. Miles Cannon as their new teacher advisor. Cannon says he wants the club to have journalistic integrity. Naomi asks what happens if her work gets edited out by Navid. Cannon and Navid agree they shouldn't use the paper as a tabloid, but Naomi says she wants it to be. Naomi insults Cannon's presence since he is not making much as a teacher. Later, Cannon calls in Naomi and asks her for an apology since she was insulting. After Naomi refuses, Cannon kicks her off of the paper. Naomi begs to stay on and says she might want to pursue journalism. Naomi says she is willing to do anything in which Cannon takes as her asking to sleep with him. He tells her that it is inappropriate then tells her the decision is final.

Naomi asks Silver is Cannon was out of line but she doesn't agree with her. Silver asks Gia Mannetti for her opinion, but doesn't get any support. Silver says Cannon is a douchebag and says Cannon told her that she has to sleep with him in order to get back on the paper. The girls are shocked to hear about the sexual harassment. Naomi gives a presentation to the Blaze group to try and rally the students to rise against Cannon and demands to be reinstated. Navid arrives and asks what is going on. Naomi enthusiastically calls for a strike, but no one joins her. Navid says he will talk to Mr. Cannon. Adrianna and Silver arrive and tells Naomi that she can't let Cannon get away with his harassment. After Liam asks what happened, Silver describes what Naomi said and Liam suggests that she report him. After Liam's stepfather cheats on his mum, Naomi agrees to let Liam move in.

Liam suggests to Naomi that she report Cannon but since she's lying, Naomi says she thinks she is like Jen. Liam tells her if she was like her sister, he wouldn't be with her. Liam then drives Naomi to the medical center for her therapy session and she tells him she will be done in an hour. After he drops her off, she sits down at the outdoor cafe, orders a drink and reads her magazine. Back at Naomi's, Liam asks her about her therapy session and if she is ready to come forward about Cannon. Naomi says she is worried what people will think if she reports her teacher. After she pretends that she is upset, Liam says he hates Cannon.

After Liam confronted Mr. Cannon, Harry tells Naomi that there will be an investigation on Cannon. Naomi says she doesn't want to press charges, but Harry insists since they can't take a chance with a teacher who may be harassing the students. Before she heads to meet the school board, Naomi sees Cannon in the hallway who asks why she is accusing him even though nothing happened. Cannon shares that he has a wife and feels that Naomi is ruining his life. Liam arrives, tells Cannon to stop bothering his girlfriend and tells Naomi that he loves her and knows she is a strong person. Naomi tells him she loves him too just before they kiss. While in the room with Cannon and his wife, Harry asks Naomi what happened. She describes how nothing happened and she lied. Cannon's wife is happy to hear that her husband is innocent.

After the meeting, Harry tells Naomi there will be severe consequences, Naomi admits she didn't think it would get that far. Naomi sees that Liam took off after he heard the truth. Liam gets in his car and speeds off. Naomi finds Liam at her house and apologises for what she did. She says she regrets accusing Cannon and she explains that things got out of control. He says he is going back to his mum's house. The next day at school, Naomi realises that her classmates are looking at her as they whisper and call her a liar. While Annie visits her, Naomi describes herself as a terrible person and Annie says she can relate to her situation.

Naomi is upset that Jen is back. At school, Naomi is forced to perform clean up duty as punishment for falsely accusing Mr. Cannon of harassing her. Liam visits her at her house and apologises for not supporting her. He states that she the right thing in the end. After Naomi tells him she loves him, he says he does too. Naomi arrives at the beach club and orders shakes for herself and her friends for a boost before they take the SATs. Jen surprises Naomi and admits she received the beach club as a gift from her husband. Jen tells Naomi that it wasn't nice of her to turn her back on her. Naomi and Jen are back to wreaking havoc in each others lives and just when Naomi thinks she has the upper hand, Jen slaps her back into reality by taking control of Naomi's finances and puts her on a tight budget, resulting in an instant meltdown by Naomi. Without her credit cards, Naomi is too distracted to realise Liam is in need of support to deal with the departure of his father. In the second season finale, Liam breaks up with Naomi because he thinks she is too self-centred. Distraught, Naomi talks to Mr. Cannon and he shows her a documentary that he has been working on. After she compliments him, he takes her hands and tries to give her a kiss but she pulls back. He tells her he knows he wants her, but she pushes him away. Cannon slaps her and tells her no one will believe her since she already cried wolf before.

Season 3

In the season 3 premiere, Naomi is seen walking to class with Annie and asks her about having Mr. Cannon for 1st period. During an earthquake, Naomi is frightened because Mr. Cannon was behind her and she experiences the flashbacks of being raped in the season 2 finale. Teddy later walks in on her doing a striptease while drunk and, while defending her honour, Silver walks in a see's Naomi hitting on Teddy and walks out. Naomi becomes alienated and loses touch with her friends. She receives hostility from Silver, who herself is spending time with Mr. Cannon. Naomi warns Silver she should stay away from him and Cannon plays this off to Silver as Naomi being obsessed with him, which he claims inspired the initial harassment accusation. Naomi, still distressed over the rape, tells Silver. Silver doesn't believe her initially but later changes her mind after hearing Naomi in a school interview using a phrase that she also heard Mr. Cannon use in an unwatched documentary. Naomi later decides to press charges against Mr. Cannon and reconciles with Jen in the process. New evidence is discovered about Mr. Cannon that reveals him as a predator but before he can be captured, he flees. Naomi begins to get back to her normal life and puts the rape behind her. She regains her relationships with her friends, and even makes amends with Ivy.

The episode ends with her talking on the phone explaining to Oscar that she is content and happy being alone, unknowing that Mr. Cannon is in the apartment with her. She and Silver are taken hostage by Mr. Cannon, who vows to get revenge on them for ruining his life. They find a way to escape and they apprehend him. Naomi contemplates killing him, but after reasoning from Silver, stops. They then call the cops and Mr. Cannon is sent to jail. Silver then plans a getaway and invites Naomi, Adrianna, Annie and Emily Bradford to come along. The retreat is an eye opener for Naomi and she decides to stay a little longer. After a fall out with Guru Sona, who Naomi looked up to, she is partnered with a nerdy student named Max Miller. Although in denial at first, since Max is a nerd, she decides not to fight her feelings and kisses Max, after he helps her with her laptop. Max then turns her down, citing that she is not his type. She then tries to impress him by meeting him in her lingerie, but he turns her down again saying that although she is beautiful on the outside, she is too shallow on the inside. She tries once again and this time dresses up as an avatar, but he turns her down again and she is left embarrassed by his friends. She storms out of the theater and Max goes to apologise to her and tells her he is flattered by her gesture. They decide to give a relationship a try, but keep it a secret as they don't want to ruin their reputations. Naomi brings Max along with her for a spring break vacation to Mexico, as her math tutor. However, the couple spend most of the break distracted with sex, until she confesses that she really is failing at math, to which Max makes her do some test papers. Naomi and Max continue to keep their relationship a secret, sneaking around campus. Max has an academic invitational event coming up and has made friends with a girl on the team, Alex Scarborough. They have a last minute cram session, leaving Naomi jealous. Naomi charges into the cram session and accuses the pair of having an affair. After a heated argument, Alex decides to leave the team, due to the tension caused between the team by her and Max's relationship. Naomi decides to fill that spot hoping to give the West Beverly team a three-peat win at the Invitationals. She ends up losing the final question for the team. In spite of this, Max tells Naomi he only has eyes for her and says that he wants their relationship to go public. Max gets accepted to MIT and has accepted their offer. This makes Naomi rethink her college plans. It has always been her dream to go to CU, but she decides she would rather be closer to Max so she makes up her mind to go to BU. Max realises that he could not let her throw away her dreams for him. He decides to go to Cal Tech to be close to Naomi. After Naomi is named prom queen and Teddy prom king, Naomi has her moment in the spotlight ruined when a teacher comes barging in and accuses her of cheating on her final paper. Naomi immediately begins to defend herself, until Max tells Naomi that he made a few edits to the paper before he turned it in for her and both Max and Naomi face expulsion because of this. Naomi decides to take all of the blame to save Max's academic future. During Max's valedictorian speech, he realises it would be wrong for Naomi to take the blame for everything so he confesses to what he did in front of the entire school, and friends and family. Upon the announcement of Ivy and Raj Kher's engagement, Naomi offers to plan the wedding and the bachelorette party. Raj has his bachelor party, and upon realising he has mistakenly hired male strippers he sends them over to the girls' party. While the stripper is dancing, Naomi decides she wants to tip him, and throws her purse at Annie, telling her to give him some money. Annie tells Naomi that she only has hundreds in her purse, so Naomi asks aloud if anyone has singles. Adrianna announces that she does and Naomi thanks her and grabs her purse. She then stats dancing with the stripper and swinging the handbag above her head. In her excitement, she drops the purse and the contents spill out onto the floor. Liam turns on the lights and Naomi and Silver begin to pick up the items that fell out, with Adrianna picking up the bits that fell further away. Naomi apologises and looks down at what she picked up, realising that she is holding Silver's missing bipolar medication. After asking Adrianna why she has Silver's medication in her purse, Silver connects the dots and realises she was right all along. Adrianna attempts to explain to the group that they are wrong but Naomi sees through the charade and makes her leave the party. On the day of Ivy and Raj's wedding, Naomi is ensuring that all of the arrangements she's made are completed when Max drops by to talk to her. He tells her that due to the expulsion, his parents believe that Naomi is a bad influence on him and have forbidden him to see her. His parents have also decided to send him to a summer programme in Cambridge with the hope that MIT will still take him in the fall. Naomi is completely heartbroken and spends most of the wedding moping with Annie, after her recent split from Liam. When Ivy throws her bouquet in order to follow tradition, it flies towards Naomi and causes her to be pounced on by the large crowd of girls who were hoping to catch it. In the confusion, Naomi gets gouged by someone's stiletto and later has to go to the emergency room to get a tetanus shot. After the wedding party, Naomi pays a visit to Max's house and wakes him up by throwing rocks at his balcony windows. He comes down to the front porch and they share a kiss. Naomi then tells him all about the bouquet toss at the wedding and her visit to the emergency room and tells Max they they had to do some blood work while she was there. She reveals to Max that the blood work shows that she's pregnant.

Naomi confronts him and Austin gets mad and storms off. With Austin still in Vegas and her friends busy with their lives Naomi takes one of her sorority sisters, Alana, for an evening out where she gives Alana advice on how to pick up a guy, but the plan backfires when the guy starts crushing on Naomi. At the end of the night, Naomi apologises to Alana and it turns out that she met a new boy thanks to Naomi. They decide to celebrate by jumping into bed together.

In "Project Runaway" Naomi is ecstatic to have made into CU's fashion design competition, until she finds out she's going to be competing against Holly. The two get very competitive, both looking for Liam to model their clothes. Holly steals some of Naomi's designs, and at the night of the fashion show they end up fighting. Neither of them win, and they call a truce. Naomi gets approached by a well known event planner from Hollywood and is offered an internship. This woman turns out to be Holly's mum.

Naomi is starting at her internship and wants to make a good impression on her boss but starts having issues balancing her internship, and her relationship with Austin and Holly. During Holly's birthday party, she is called out for being the one that stole the internship with Holly's mum. Things with Naomi and Austin have been rocky and at the party Holly finds out that Naomi is the one who got the internship and decides to take revenge on her. At the end of the night when Naomi comes back home, she finds Austin and Holly making out. After the Christmas break, Naomi spends all of her time working on the internship trying to forget about Austin and her boss Rachel Gray tells her she can run the Pasadena Snow Ball that weekend.

At the Debutante Ball Naomi grabs a cadet to sleep with, but her rebound sex is short lived when the curtains at the ball open up and everyone sees her half naked. Rachel is disappointed and fires her, until Naomi tells her why she did that and gets her job back. After that, she goes to Annie's party where she talks to her friends and then heads to bar and tells Austin how hurt she was by his cheating and that she is not ready to have a relationship because she needs to change herself, and then she kisses him goodbye. After Naomi talks with Annie and Ivy at the campus cafe, Holly runs into her and spills coffee all over her documents. Before, Naomi would have gotten into a fight with Holly, but now she turns the other cheek. Naomi then sets out on fixing Holly and Rachel's relationship so she can get a promotion and not have to deal with a nemesis. Rachel is running too many events and asks Naomi to take the AFHC event honouring an actor named Mitchell Nash off of her hands. Holly then comes in and Naomi asks Rachel if Holly can work the event as well. Naomi reluctantly convinces her and Rachel gives Holly the job of being Naomi's assistant. Naomi asks Holly if she'd like a bigger job and gives her the task of bringing Mitchell to the red carpet. At the event, Rachel asks Naomi where Mitchell is and Naomi says she let Holly bring him. Holly shows up and says Mitchell wasn't at the hotel, but Rachel says he was under a different name and to fix the problem now. After Naomi and Holly drive back to the hotel in Holly's POS car, they find Mitchell at the rooftop pool wasted. Naomi and Holly then drag the drunken actor across the red carpet, where he slurs and hurls. Rachel blames Holly and Naomi tells Rachel to blame her. Naomi sticks up for Holly and admits she tries to save the mum/daughter relationship. While Rachel appreciated her honesty, she was still annoyed and fired Naomi. Again, Naomi later shows Holly a bunch of press about the event and Holly tells her that Rachel gave her Naomi's job. Holly also said that Mitchell was impressed by the event and gives Naomi his card. Naomi's trying to put together a fake portfolio to entice clients when Annie mentions that she wants Mitchell Nash, the actor Naomi literally dragged across the red carpet a week ago, to show up at her benefit. Naomi then realises that she could use Mitchell as a reference. Mitchell wants her to throw a 16 birthday party for his daughter he just found out he had, Carla Nash. At the party Naomi tries to find Carla, but a girl tells her Carla went upstairs with a football player. Naomi tells her she's gonna pull the plug on the party. After Naomi pulls the plug, Mitchell asks her what the problem was and Naomi tells him that she gave Carla terrible advice and can't stand by and watch her make the same mistakes she did. Later, Mitchell comes back and pays Naomi for the party, asking her to throw one for him in a month. He also tells her she opened his eyes a bit about his parenting. The next day, Naomi hears a ring at the door and answers it and its Jen. Naomi plans to rub her success in Jen's face by getting a meeting with the VP of Paddington Publishing House, Amanda Deen. Little does Naomi know that Jen used to go to school with Amanda. When Amanda asks for Naomi's office address, so Naomi can do a full presentation for her boss, Naomi gives a random address. The random address turns out to be the address for a sex shop. Naomi convinces the manager to let her buy out the shop and pay the employees $1000 each to pretend they work there. Naomi finishes cleaning up the place just in time for William Paddington to tell her he's hiring her and to set up a date with Jen. Later, Naomi tells Jen she wanted to impress her and Jen tells Naomi her whole life is impressive. After that, Naomi and Preston Hillingsbrook meet and shake hands.

Naomi goes to the music festival where she fights with Jen over PJ. Naomi and Jen then apologise to each other and say they're jealous of each other. Jen then tells Naomi that she's leaving for LA with Jacques Matthews. Annie later hands Naomi a letter than Jen left. The letter says that she's going to Napa, which leads Naomi think that Jen's following PJ.

When Naomi returns home she is shocked to see that Jen has returned. Naomi has been prepared for this moment and has already packed Jen's things and booked tickets for her and Jacques to return to Paris. Jen tries to tell Naomi that she didn't see PJ at all and then tries to prove that she's always sneakily been a good sister by telling Naomi about a room switch when she was younger. Jen tells Naomi that when they were little, she picked a smaller room for Naomi on the other side of the house so she wouldn't hear the huge fights their parents got into. Naomi's still mad at her and tells Jen she'll hire a nurse. Shocked by the double whammy of seeing Dixon and Raj in the hospital, Naomi comes home to see Jen. She instead finds PJ, who tells her that Jen left. Naomi tells PJ that Jen is the only sister she's ever had and she just lost her. Later, Naomi gets a call from Jen to tell her she loves her and Naomi apologises for what happened between them. Jen then tells Naomi she heard a scandalous secret about PH, but she has to hang up before she can tell Naomi. Naomi is still suspicious from her sister's vague warnings about Preston. She catches him in a shady parking lot receiving a package but is relieved to see they are just cigars since that can't be the big secret, but now Preston sees another side of Naomi that he doesn't like. Annie gets the real dirt on Preston's situation when he tells her that if he is not married by the time he is 28 he will lose his entire trust fund. He turns around and proposes to an ecstatic Naomi much to Annie's surprise. Naomi tells Annie and Silver that the wedding will be in two weeks. After Silver leaves to answer her phone, Annie decides to tell Naomi about PJ's trust fund but Naomi acts surprisingly calm about the situation and tells Annie that she loves PJ and isn't in it for the money. After Annie tells Naomi that she's the only one of her friends who knows PJ, Naomi suggests to PJ that they set up a small get together. At the engagement party, Naomi mentions that the trust fund issue is starting to bother her and its left her confused about PJ's true intentions. PJ then surprises Naomi by showing that he bought the boat that they're having the party on and named it after her. He then asks her to christen it, but Naomi says she can't and runs away. PJ chases after her and Naomi confesses that she knows about the trust fund. Even though PJ says he loves her, Naomi gives him back the ring. Naomi later tells Annie she tried to convince herself she was fine with everything.

Naomi has been hired to plan the wedding of an heiress named Madison Stewart and while talking, Madison shows a picture of what she wants her wedding dress to look like discovers PJ and his new wife. Naomi has a breakdown and tells Madison about PJ and that love doesn't exist the next day. Naomi apologises to Madison and also says she'll still plan Madison's wedding. Madison then introduces her to her fiancee that turns out to be her ex, Max. Naomi tries to sabotage the bachelorette party she has to host for Madison and realises that Madison's great and she sees why he's marrying her. At Max's wedding rehearsal, Naomi sees her former boss Rachel and she offers Naomi a job in her New York office. Naomi sees Max and Madison having lunch and joins them. Madison tells her she has a guy she wants to set her up with, but Naomi declines and tells them about her new job. She also tells them it starts immediately, so she has to leave before the wedding. At the airport, Naomi then realises that Max was lying about loving Madison and runs to get to the wedding. Naomi makes it during the "I do's". She runs into the church and tells Max she loves him, and that he can't marry Madison because she's the love of his life. Naomi then awkwardly leaves. Later, Max finds Naomi outside and tells her that he didn't marry Madison because he still loves her.

Season 5

After the non-wedding, Max gets on one knee and asks Naomi to marry him. The two soon leave in a white stretch limo to go elope in Vegas. While the two are on the way to Vegas, Naomi opens a huge bottle of champagne and it explodes everywhere, causing Max to swerve off of the road. The limo is broke down, so Naomi hitchhikes and manages to wave down a car but the couple notices something weird about the driver. The guy stops at every gas station and it's not because he has to go to the bathroom. They notice him running towards the car and figure out he robbed the gas station. Unlucky for them, a cop is nearby and chases after them. Naomi calls Silver and asks her to send them some money to get them out of jail. While they're in jail, Naomi tells Max she thinks the universe wants to keep them apart. The guard comes by and releases Max, but not Naomi, telling her she has to go before a judge because of her record. Max then goes over to Naomi's hearing and tells the judge that Naomi didn't intend to drive the car, but they did intend to get married. The judge fines Naomi $200 for speeding and charges them $60 for a marriage license. Max and Naomi return home to bask in their new marriage. After Max leaves the room, Naomi tells Alec Martin that they'll make a great team and Alec tells her he's not going to let her ruin Max's life again.

Naomi and Max are getting ready to leave for their honeymoon when Alec comes by and shows them a bunch of tabloids that are none too kind to the newlyweds. While at the beach with Silver and Adrianna, Naomi tells them that she's throwing a wedding reception at a winery to boost her and Max's image. Later, Alec talks with Naomi about him and Max's venture into the video game industry and talks about having a sit down with game giants the Colton brothers. Naomi tells him to invite them to the reception. Later, the reception is going smoothly until Naomi mistakenly kicks out 2 guys who were definitely not in their classiest wear. Naomi then learns those 2 guys were the Colton brothers and tells them to come back to the party.

Naomi wants to be friends with Alec so everyone in the situation can be happy, but Alec has no interest in being friends with Naomi. The duo start becoming friendly with one another. He even wins her a silver unicorn at an arcade game and then kisses her. Over at the alumni surf meet, Naomi tells the girls about the kiss. Naomi's worried that Max will never trust her again and doesn't want to tell him. Silver tells her that she should tell him or her relationship could be ruined. After witnessing Dixon grow over the episode, Naomi decides she needs to tell Max. Naomi goes to see Alec and asks him for time so she can break it to Max the right way. Naomi and Max go to a first class camping site that has a masseuse, where he mentions an obstacle course that works as a trust building exercise. Naomi and Max then struggle, and fail, on the rope course. Later, Naomi finds Max and apologises. Max tells her it's important for her to trust him, so he has her do a trust fall off a bench. He catches her and Naomi says it's a perfect moment. After Max asks her if she wanted to tell him something, she lies and says no and he tells her he knows about the kiss and hands her the photos. Naomi goes to find Max and when she finds him, he tells her that he knows Alec set the whole thing up. Naomi apologises and says she can't lose him, but it doesn't seem enough. Naomi comes home and interrupts Annie's date with Colin Andrews, she tells the couple about her failed sleuth attempt. Colin asks to see her phone, and Naomi finds out that Alec's been using her GPS to track her location. Colin reverses the hack so Naomi can read Alec's e-mails. She finds a bunch of e-mails to Max's ex, Madison, pressuring her to hire Naomi as her wedding planner, so Naomi plans to find Madison so she can get her to tell Max about the e-mails. Naomi finds Madison at a spa and, after apologising for how the wedding went down, asks her about Alec. Naomi asks Madison to come to the pop-up and reveal the truth to Max. At the pop-up, Naomi tries to remind her about how terrible Alec is and Madison ends up falling down and leaving in a wheelchair.

Naomi throws Max a party to finish the coding for the game, and the group ends up finishing the demo, but not without Colin peeping at the code and sneaking out. The next day, Alec, Naomi and Annie head over to a panel that turns out to be hosted by Colin. The trio stares at the stage as they realises that Colin stole Max's code for the video game. Alec brushes Naomi aside to fight with her once again. After the fight, Max asks the two when the fighting is going to end; Naomi says it's not going to, and Max has to choose between them. Max ends up picking Naomi over Alec.

After this, Max discharges Alec from their video game company, much to Naomi's pleasure. However, he is having trouble managing the company by himself, so in an attempt to help him, Naomi tells him to interview people for the job. When Max is too busy to read over the job applications, Naomi helps him look through them and together they select Bryce Woodbridge to come in for an interview. A few days later, Naomi heads to Max's office wearing a heavy raincoat and nothing underneath, hoping to have sex with Max, but instead finds Bryce just leaving the interview. Max says it went extremely well, but Naomi is shocked with how good-looking Bryce is, and fears that with her looks and brains, Bryce will lure Max away from her. Hoping to ensure this doesn't happen, Naomi says that she doesn't think Bryce will be good for the job and asks if Max would consider promoting from within (meaning her). Max reluctantly agrees, but after a few weeks of having Naomi as his assistant, feels like she's trying to micro-manage his life. The pair argue about this at Adrianna's concert, but in the end, Naomi feels bad and goes and appoints Bryce as new co-CEO without telling Max. This takes Max aback, but he seems to be okay with it. However, within a few days of being co-CEO, Bryce fires Max from his own company. Max is extremely mad at Naomi for hiring her without his okay, so Naomi heads to Bryce's office to try and sort things out. Bryce, however, has just been dumped at the alter by her fiancee and is in no mood for talking. Desperate to find out why Bryce fired Max, Naomi asks Navid to go on a date with Bryce and try to find out. Navid reluctantly goes on the date and finds out that Alec told her the answer to the fish riddle and told her to fire Max once she got the job. Naomi is enraged when she hears this and goes to Alec and demands to know why he's so set on ruining Max's relationship. Alec admits it is because he's gay and in love with Max, but begs Naomi not to tell. Naomi agrees, but tells Alec to stay out of their lives or else she will.

While this is happening, Naomi and Max begin fighting more and more, and eventually go to marriage counselling. However, the counselling doesn't work, and the two decide it best to separate, but in the early days of the separation, they have sex multiple times. Naomi sees the fact that they're still willing to have sex as a sign that they can make their marriage work, but Max dismisses the hook-ups as a mistake and continues with his divorce filings. They have sex one last time after Naomi's breakdown at the After School Achievers event, and then divide their assets and separate for good.

Desperate to have some sort of male company that will always stay in her life, Naomi sets out to find her and Annie's half-brother, Mark Holland without telling Annie. At first Mark wants nothing to do with their family and fights with Naomi, but after discussing it realises that she'll always be his sister, and the pair strike up a brother-sister relationship. Annie is at first mad that Naomi set out to find their brother without talking to her, but eventually gets over it and lands him a chance to work at high end restaurant in New York. Naomi is upset about this, not wanting to lose her only brother, and tries to set Mark up with Adrianna in the hopes of giving him something else that will make him want to stay in LA. Annie is upset about this and the pair fight about it, Annie saying that Naomi always has to get what she wants and Naomi saying that Annie is a control freak. Eventually, the argument comes to a head and the two call Adrianna a tramp and a whore, which Adrianna overhears. Hurt, Adrianna runs from the room and Naomi and Annie follow her, feeling bad. The two realise that the reason they fight so much is because they're like sisters, and apologise to Adrianna. When Naomi gets the divorce papers from Max, she becomes more upset than she lets on and decides to have a girls' night with Annie, Silver and Adrianna in an attempt to feel young again. She wakes up the next morning in a veil and wearing a wedding ring, not remembering what happened. She, Adrianna and Silver spend the rest of the day trying to figure out what Naomi, Adrianna and Annie did the night before and who Naomi married. Eventually, they talk to Mark and he tells them that Naomi married herself, which Naomi finds relieving and amusing.
